[Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt, Flüsterübersetzung ist möglich] The central political hypothesis of "in the Third World War: A Political Lexicon for Struggles in the Present" by Italian collective Connessioni Precarie is that, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and then the genocide in Palestine, we have entered the Third World War, aimed at control over living labour. Transnational movements of workers, women and migrants therefore represent both the stakes of this war and the possibility of bringing it to an end.
We discuss the book's central hypothesis and implications. You are warmly invited to join the discussion, which will take place in English. We can arrange for whisper translation if required.
